Profile and Research

As the holder of the Chair of Personality Psychology and Assessment at the Institute of Psychology, TU Chemnitz, my research focuses on the conditions, consequences, and measurement of (im)moral behavior and responsible action in both human and artificial agents. We investigate the social perception of human and artificial actors, as well as individual differences among people, as a prerequisite for successful human–technology interaction and for designing effective interaction scenarios. Our team also studies cognitive investment as a personality trait with positive effects across various life and work contexts, focusing on its development, assessment, and practical relevance. As a board member of MeTech, I aim to foster interdisciplinary exchange, support early-career researchers in developing independence in both research and grant applications, and strengthen TU Chemnitz’s core competency Human and Technology through MeTech as a central research institution.
