Profile and Research
My research focuses on interaction with digital media and topics in the digital humanities from a linguistic and semiotic perspective. Since 2021, I have been part of the Collaborative Research Center “Hybrid Societies” as a member of the D01 project team “Intentionality and Joint Attention in Multimodal Interaction” and as an associate member. In the winter semester of 2023/24, I will be representing the Chair of German Linguistics, Semiotics, and Multimodal Communication (Prof. Fricke) as part of a grant from the Thyssen Foundation. The project I lead, “Digital Exhibitions: From Typology to Reception Perspectives” (05/2022 – 06/2025), examines forms of mediating digitized culture on the internet. Human-technology interaction is explored from various perspectives. The MeTech Center offers me a valuable opportunity to establish collaborations, for example in the area of researching the reception of digital cultural offerings and interaction with AI systems. Additional benefits include interdisciplinary exchange and the chance to get to know TU members with related research interests better.
