Profile and Research
I am an instructional psychologist and hold the Chair of Psychology of Digital Learning Media at the Faculty of Humanities. My research focuses on teaching and learning with (digital) media, with a particular interest in the design of multimedia and interactive learning environments.
Within MeTech, I am interested not only in cognitive but also in motivational, emotional, and social processes in the context of human–technology interaction. My main research areas include text–image combinations, instructional videos and animations, pedagogical agents, computer simulations, digital learning games, and adaptive learning environments.
