Profile and Research

As a linguist specializing in media linguistics, I am particularly interested in the material foundations of language and communication. This encompasses both fundamental questions of grammatography and methodological issues in (linguistic) communication analysis across both “old” and “new” media. I am currently working to find answers to these questions by exploring interdisciplinary connections, particularly with the sociology of technology and media studies, and by attempting to develop a genuinely practice-theoretical perspective on language analysis. MeTech provides a fertile ground for this type of interdisciplinary inquiry.
