Profile and Research

Since 2011, I have held the Chair of Private Law and Intellectual Property Law at TU Chemnitz. Prior to this, I completed my doctorate at Ruprecht Karls University Heidelberg under the supervision of former Federal Constitutional Court Judge Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Paul Kirchhof, and subsequently worked as a research assistant and Junior Professor in the field of technology-oriented corporate law at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. My research focuses on innovation and technology law. In this interdisciplinary field, which I have helped shape through numerous publications, I examine both the legal foundations and the theoretical underpinnings of technical and socio-technical systems, with the goal of guiding their design and regulatory development. In addition, I provide organizational law support to companies and address legal questions directly at the point where they arise. I have further contributed my expertise to numerous national and international research projects as well as policy advisory activities, including as a member of the Plattform Industrie 4.0 – Legal Frameworks.
