02.11.2017. 1.30 pm - 6.15 pm. Straße der Nationen 62. Room 305.

Dear doctoral candidates,
Dear doctoral supervisors,
Dear postdocs and interested participants,

Chemnitz University of Technology is highly committed to the support of young scientists. The establishment of ideal framework conditions is one aspect of these aspirations. These ideal conditions include appropriate learning opportunities and platforms to exchange knowledge and experiences.

Therefore, I kindly invite you to join the 5th Day of Young Scientists on 2 November 2017. This year´s event addresses prospective doctoral candidates and young scientists as well as professors.

Prof. Dr. Hans-Jörg Bullinger, former President of Fraunhofer Society, will be keynote speaker for this year´s event. Young scientists will share their experience of the doctorate during a moderated discussion and give insights into the work in the scientific community. In the second part of the event, three parallel sessions are held. The content of each session is tailor- made for the three target groups. The sessions cover the process of doing a doctorate and the financing, the funding of research projects and postdoc career options. The lectures will be held in German.
On top of that, doctoral candidates and postdocs will get the chance to present their research topics in an innovative manner and compete in a Science Slam.

Register now for the Day of Young Scientists and take the chance to listen to interesting lectures and to get into contact with the speakers as well as your fellow scientists. We are looking forward to meet you!
