The Chair of Information Systems and Business Analytics is actively involved in educating professionals in several study programs, with leading responsibility for the Bachelor's program in Information Systems and the Master's programs Business Intelligence & Analytics and Value Chain Management.
Our modules are also integrated into further degree programs of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics and other faculties.

News

For the modules Grundlagen der Wirtschaftsinformatik, Big Data Management, Data Mining, Gestaltung anwendungsorientierter Datenbanksysteme,Informationsmanagement sowie Strategic IT Management, we are offering the opportunity to review the exam from the 2025/2026 winter semester on Wednesday, 15 April 2026. The viewing will take place from 10.30 am to 11.30 am in room C33.210.

Please register for the examination review in the relevant group in the following OPAL course: Einschreibung Klausureinsicht. You will be allocated a specific time slot for your personal review. Participation in the exam review is only possible after prior registration via OPAL.

Following one semester as acting professor, Prof. Dr. Konstantin Hopf was appointed Chair of Information Systems and Business Analytics, effective February 15, 2026. He thus continues his research and teaching at TU Chemnitz in the areas of explainable machine learning methods and data-driven decision support. Read the full press release.

The course “Digitalization in Customer Relationship Management” can be offered as a block course in January/February 2026, provided there is sufficient interest, for the target group (M.Sc. Business Intelligence & Analytics, M.Sc. Value Chain Management). The kick-off session will take place on 11 December 2025. Interested students are kindly asked to register promptly by adding their availability via the scheduling poll.
