The department of chess in the USG Chemnitz presents itself
since yearly at the beginning of 1997 with a new status:
The entire formerly section chess of the ESV Lokomotive Chemnitz e.V. moved completely by 01. 01. 1997 to the USG Chemnitz e.V.!
The past practice (since in the middle of the 70's) of our exercise and training does not change thereby, for the tournament sector arises against it the "innovation", that also the entire extensive match happening, which was denied so far by the section chess of the ESV Lokomotive Chemnitz, now is executed under the name of the department of chess of the USG Chemnitz!
Further we will naturally take part in the meetings in the context of the university sport and will organize the open city championships chess in Chemnitz.
Prospective customers will meet play partners of all performance classes with us (inactive ones to Federal league!).
each Thursday of 17.00 to 22.00 o'clockThus, if you have interest to games of chess - you must be still no experts - visit us at the training time.

Our 1st team had reached in 1997 the ascent from the 2. Federal league into the highest class!

Our first opponents are the SVG Plettenberg
(Aufsteiger from 2.BL west) and the Solingener SG
(German master 1997)!
