First Edition of „TUCnetwork“ published
New newsletter informs alumni and members of the Society of Friends of the Chemnitz University about current developments

Here it is: the first edition of the “TUCnetwork”, the newsletter for alumni and members of the Society of Friends of the Chemnitz University. “With “TUCnetwork” we want to intensify the contact to our alumni and the members of the Society of Friends and to inform on a regular basis on current developments at the Chemnitz University”, says Dr. Gerd Strohmeier, President of the Chemnitz University of Technology.
The “TUCnetwork” will be published four times a year and provides information on news from Science and Research, current issues of the faculties and central institutions, information of the university management as well as alumni activities within and outside of the Chemnitz University. A journey to the past with the view on the history of the university is also included. The category “Who is doing what, where?” introduces selected alumni to the readers. Further categories such as “Miscellaneous” and “Tips and Events” round the newsletter off.
The first edition invites to the “University Day” on May 20, 2017, on which simultaneously the 8th international alumni meeting takes place. Plus, see the previous plans for the campus design and the construction works of the “Alte Aktienspinnerei” into the new University library.
