Welcome on TU Big Band's website

We at TU Big Band are mainly students, academic staff and graduates of TU Chemnitz and enthusiastic jazz musicians from Chemnitz schools and businesses. We all share a passion for making music together and presenting traditional and modern jazz and swing arrangements. Since 2006, the Dresden jazz musician Marc Hartmann is our band leader.

TU Big Band is primarily performing at university events such as Formal Enrollment and Graduation Ceremonies, University Ball, Campus and Sports Festival and Christmas Festival at university's courtyard. In addition, we are proud of representing TU Chemnitz at music festivals, receptions, anniversaries, foundation stone ceremonies and individual occasions across the campus boundaries.
