Tales of Transformation: International Academic Workshops

This two-part workshop series, organised by Prof. Dr. Cecile Sandten (TU Chemnitz) and Jun. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Daniela Zupan (Bauhaus Universität Weimar), in collaboration with the Industrial Museum Chemnitz and ALUS, took place as part of two Master seminars in the summer semester 2025. The first workshop was held in Weimar (8 – 9 May 2025), the second in Chemnitz (5 – 6 June 2025). Through lectures, site visits, and creative formats, the seminars and workshops explored how urban change is imagined and experienced in post-socialist and postcolonial cities.
