Funding of students within the scope of the national scholarship program

Since the summer semester 2011 Technische Universität Chemnitz has been promoting students in the context of the national scholarship program. The aim is to support excellent and highly talented students.

Anybody who wants to cross disciplinary boundaries and searches for well-guided and practice-oriented studies on a modern campus as well as for outstanding research conditions makes the right decision to choose Technische Universität Chemnitz, which links technical and natural sciences as well as mathematics closely to economics, humanities and social sciences.
 

How long is the scholarship granted for?

The scholarship is initially granted for one year. An annual review of the performance of the scholarship holder is required for the possible continuation of the scholarship. Grants will be paid for no longer than the duration of the standard time to graduate in each course of studies.
 

Who can apply?

Anybody who is enrolled in the first or in a higher semester at TU Chemnitz can be sponsored. A funding is excluded if the student has already received a gifted or merit-based material support in accordance with the Scholarship Program Act - Stipendienprogramm-Gesetz (StipG) of more than 30 € (average) monthly (avoidance of double funding).
 

What are the application requirements?

The scholarships are awarded according to talent and performance. In addition, social commitment, willingness to take over responsibility as well as special personal or family circumstances adjudicate upon funding. Age and nationality are irrelevant.
