| Important properties of sedimentary rocks such as permeability to fluid flow and conductivity of brine-filled samples, depend in a complicated manner on the microstructure of the pore space. We propose a simple algorithm for generating a porous structure, which mimics the actual sedimentation process. Particles with two different grain size are deposited ballistically, to generate a porous structure. We estimate different properties of the pore space generated and compare with geological data. | |
