| Developping efficient computer codes is an essential ingredient of any computational science project in physics, chemistry and engineering. This talk will present some of the basic principles necessary to achieve that. In particular memory access questions and the optimization of the pipeline throughput will be discussed. In addition to these aspects of serial tuning, parallel optimization will be covered. At the end some case studies will illustrate what performance can be expected in realistic applications. | |
