Profile and Research Area

I am a communication scholar and hold the Chair of Media Communication in the Faculty of Arts. My research focuses on describing, from a communication studies perspective, the technological changes in media within users’ everyday lives. Using the theoretical and methodological tools of my field, my team and I describe and analyze these processes of change at both the societal macro level and the individual micro level. My research focuses in particular on the integration of mobile media into everyday life, the dissemination of news through social media, and the integration of mobile and social media into health communication and health-related behavior.
