Profile and Research
Since April 2012, I have held the Chair of Ergonomics and Innovation Management at Chemnitz University of Technology. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and HEC Paris. I then spent three years working as a research assistant at the Technical University of Munich, where I earned my Ph.D. summa cum laude with a dissertation on “Innovation and Ontologies.” I completed my postdoctoral qualification on the topic of “IT-based Interactive Innovation” at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the University of Pennsylvania. With over 15 years of experience in securing and managing national and European projects, I advise industrial companies and regularly give lectures and keynote speeches on the future of work and workers. I am a member of the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech) and a member of the Supervisory Board of Paul Hartmann AG. The results of my work have been published in international peer-reviewed journals such as Ergonomics, Human Factors, Creativity and Innovation Management, R&D Management, and the Journal of Ergonomics, among others.
