Professor Thomas Lampke receives the DGO plaque
On 12 September 2019, the German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology awarded Prof. Thomas Lampke the DGO plaque in recognition of special services.
In 2007, Prof. Lampke joined the DGO. Since then, he has been involved in the specialist committee on research and in the joint committee on „Combined Surface Technology“. He was elected to the DGO Executive Board in 2012. He was vice-chairman until his retirement at the end of 2017 due to the articles of association. During this time, he was also one of the initiators of the BMBF's InnoEMat research programme. As consortium leader, the DGO, together with Dechema and the DGM, is shaping the accompanying scientific measure, which Professor Lampke was instrumental in acquiring on behalf of the DGO. It is a great concern of his to involve young scientists at universities and universities of applied sciences in the DGO and to inspire them to work in the industry.
The appreciation of the DGO states: „Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Lampke has contributed to the increase and dissemination of knowledge in the field of surface technology through a variety of activities in the spirit of our statutes. The board and the members of the DGO thank him for his commitment and his services to the DGO.“ The honour was presented by the chairman of the board of the DGO Rainer Venz and the board member Dr. Andreas Dietz.
