Joint research by TU Wroclaw and TU Chemnitz


On the fringes of the 5th International Thermal Spraying and Hardfacing Conference (ITSHC) in Wroclaw, a first meeting took place between German and Polish scientists and representatives from industry and technology. The reason for this meeting was the European research project approved on 1 October 2018, in which the TU Wroclaw and the TU Chemnitz are working together in the so-called CORNET programme (Collective Research Networking) of the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (AiF);

The short title of the research project is „ ClusterMat“. Within the project, single-axis-based materials with a nanocrystalline matrix are to be further processed into defined functional bodies using generative manufacturing methods.
