IWW spin-off receives Leipzig Electroplating Award


At the end of February, a spin-off from the IWW, inca-fiber GmbH, received the Leipzig Electroplating Award from the German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology (DGO). The award was given in recognition of the successful transfer of research work carried out at the university to industry.

„Without the foundations created at the TU's Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, which were intensified within a team in the junior research group and now further implemented as a company with the strong support of Professor Lampke as well as the university environment, inca-fiber would not have been able to flourish so well“, looks back gratefully on the Managing Director of inca-fiber GmbH, Dr Falko Böttger-Hiller.
