TriboPlast - Experts in plastic tribology

>Thermoplastics have become indispensable as a construction material for components subject to friction in consumer goods, technical systems, devices, machines, vehicles, etc. In the design of such assemblies, the choice of materials poses a complex challenge. The background to this is that friction and wear are system behaviour, which is often perceived as a black box by the layman. Due to a lack of knowledge about the relationships and dependencies of this system behaviour, serious mistakes are made in the selection of materials.

With our testing machines and experience from research and industry, we ensure that our customers achieve their goals. The focus is on the development, optimization and testing of friction stressed plastic components and plastics.

TriboPlast was founded in 2011 by Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Weise and Dipl.-Ing. Arndt Schumann with the support of TU Chemnitz. Our customers from the fields of materials handling technology, special mechanical engineering, medical technology, automotive engineering and sports equipment technology value our problem-solving expertise and technical expertise from more than 12 years of research and development in the field of plastic tribology.
