Winter sports all year round
MR.SNOW, with its development of the textile ski slope, makes it possible to ski all year round regardless of the weather. A special highly gliding yarn is processed into a 20mē mat with a patented structure. Thanks to this, the MR.SNOW ski slope feels like real snow. The mats are also environmentally friendly, as they do not need to be cooled or watered in order to ski safely. Today, the textile snow is produced exclusively in Saxony and delivered from here to an internationally growing customer base, which includes operators of ski schools, amusement parks and event agencies.
The founders of MR.SNOW, Jens Reindl, Arndt Schumann, and Felix Neubert are graduates of Chemnitz Technical University and have been able to bring their research project Textile Ski Run to market maturity with the help of the business start-up network SAXEED. The Professorship of Materials Handling offered the young inventors an excellent infrastructure, a well-functioning network and very well-equipped laboratories.
