Motivation

The innoTRAC colloquium took place in Chemnitz for the first time on 12th and 13th November 2020. It embodies the merger of the three well-known events InnoZug Colloquium and International GKT Symposium of the TU Chemnitz with the International Timing Belt Symposium of the TU Dresden.

The colloquium sees itself as a platform for the exchange of information between researchers, developers and users of innovative traction and load-bearing mechanisms, whereby the associated applications and drive concepts as well as the topics of recycling and tribology are included. The colloquium aims to make a contribution to the research-based, interdisciplinary increase in knowledge in the field of traction and load-bearing mechanisms.

During the first colloquium, 105 participants from 8 countries followed an interesting and varied program online with 22 specialist lectures in 4 sections and 5 poster presentations.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the authors and speakers, whose numerous contributions ensured the success of the event and the composition of the conference proceedings. Special thanks also go to the staff of the professorships who planned and organized the online event under difficult circumstances.

We look forward to welcome you to the second edition of our conference in Chemnitz in November 2022.
