Abstract:
In the age of digital transformation, information and data is becoming ubiquitous, emerging at large-scale from heterogeneous sources in the context of complex networked systems. Examples include e.g., the ubiquitous web, social media platforms, and the internet of things. In this talk, I focus on the modeling and analysis of the respective complex knowledge spaces. The talk discusses according methods and approaches regarding the management of large amounts of heterogeneous data as well as the extraction of meaningful insights in order to augment human intelligence and to assist the involved actors both online and in the physical world.
