                         The PhD dissertation "Communication complexity
                         of sum-type functions" was awarded by
                         the university society Westfälisch -
                         Lippische Universitätsgesellschaft 

                         Habilitation in Mathematics received on January 31,
                         2002


Professional activities: 1991 to 2000: Research fellow in the special 
                         research unit (Sonderforschungsbereich)
                         "Discrete Structures in Mathematics" within 
                         the project "Models with Information Exchange"
                         and assistant professor at the Department of 
                         Mathematics, both at the University of Bielefeld,
