The program is based on a modular structure. Every module is self-contained with specific goals, contents and teaching methods (lectures, tutorials, etc.). Detailed module descriptions can be found in the study regulations.
Credit points are attained in every module to a total of 120 points. One credit point is equivalent to 30 hours of work (including preparation and revision).

Study segments:

1. Basic modules (compulsory)

  • Key competence and internship (module A)
  • Research methods (module B)
  • Methods and application areas of assessment (module C)
  • Further development of knowledge on cognition, emotion, motivation and personality (module D)

2. Application modules (compulsory)

  • Identifying and developing potentials (module E)
  • Human resources/human factors (module F)
  • Clinical psychology (module G)

3. Consolidation modules (compulsory)

  • Consolidation of modules E, F and G (module H)
    This module offers the opportunity of specialization through choosing seminars and tutorials from one or two of the three areas.
In addition to these compulsory modules an internship (module I), one non-psychological module (module J), and the module master's thesis (module K) have to be completed.

As a non-psychological module you can choose from:

  • Educational science (module J1)
  • German linguistics (module J2)
  • Applied computer science (module J3)
  • Human factors and ergonomics (module J4)
  • Sociology (module J5)
  • Sports science (module J6)
  • Philosophy (module J7)
  • Media communication (module J8)
  • Business studies (module J9)
