Study contents: | The objective of the PRF degree course is to develop knowledge and skills under consideration of the changing requirements in the field of exercise and sport in order to develop the students’ competencies in prevention and fitness, rehabilitation and therapy of people with specific health conditions and/or disabilities by means of exercise and physical activity. The students gain detailed knowledge concerning various conditions of internal and orthopaedic diseases. There is a wide-range of work areas for the graduates of the Bachelor programme "Prevention, Rehabilitation and Fitness Sports" in rehabilitation hospitals, health clinics, larger hospitals, vocational training institutions, health insurance companies, sports and physical activity departments of councils and counties, sports associations, sports clubs, centers for health and fitness as well as in setting up their own businesses. The specialisation in economics / management or in technology opens up even more professional activity opportunities to the students. |

Requirements: |
University degree of the Bachelor course of study „Prevention, Rehabilitation and Fitness Sports“ with the Chemnitz University of Technology or an adequate professional-qualifying degree course (The examination board decides over the equality as well as the access of other candidates). |
Study contents: | The programme allows a continuation of the Bachelor programme Prevention, Rehabilitation and Fitness Sports (PRF) and also offers graduates of similar sports science degree programmes at other locations an attractive possibility of continuing their academic qualifications at the TU Chemnitz. As part of the Master programme, the acquired scientific concepts and methods of prevention, rehabilitation and fitness sports of the underlying Bachelor programme will be addressed on an advanced level and specific knowledge as well as work environment-related skills in relevant sports science areas will be obtained. In this case, the curriculum includes teaching modules and contents from different fields and disciplines of sports science that are related to health-orientated sports and exercise activities. Thereby, the essential sports scientific knowledge, skillset, competencies and methods in the professional fields of health-orientated and fitness sports are conveyed in a way, that students are qualified and competent in applying their knowledge to solve problems independently and in a professional and creative manner. The focus lies on the advanced modules of Sports Management and/or Sports Technology and Exercise Therapy. |

Human Movement Science

A degree in Bachelor Sports Engineering or Prevention, Rehabilitation and Fitness Sports or Medical Engineering or a degree with equivalent content is normally required to enrol in this course (equivalence and access of other applicants are controlled by the Board of Examiners.) |
Study contents: |
The aim of this degree programme is a comprehensive education in the field of movement sciences, ranging from the analysis of human movement and motor function, to computer aided data processing and modelling of complex movements. The application of knowledge in the fields of health and human factor-technology interaction is a core competence of future graduates. Contents of the courses are:
