CATI-Laboratory
The CATI Call Centre at Chemnitz University of Technology has been in existence since 1997 and is used for our own research, for teaching projects and to a large extent for commissioned work.
Our range of services is not limited to telephone interviews (CATI).
We can also offer you the methods of online surveys (CAWI), e-mail surveys and postal surveys for your data collection.
CATI - Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing - The computer-assisted telephone survey is a scientifically recognised and efficient method of empirical social research, which has also been successfully used by leading opinion research institutes (INFAS, Forschungsgruppe WAHLEN e.V.) for many years.
You have access to the latest interview management features:
- Filters, skips, calculations, question rotations, interview interruptions
- Use of external databases for error-free transfer of information into the interview
- the option to test the questionnaire online in advance if required.
Advantages of CATI:

Of course, you are welcome to attend pretests, briefings or interviewers' checks.
We can put your online survey with all the features of CATI surveys plus multimedia enhancements (e.g. images or videos). Respondents are recruited either via a link from your website or via a message from us by email, telephone, fax or post. In order to prevent multiple surveys, it is possible to assign a password to each target person. Only with this password is it possible to answer the questionnaire.
Advantages of CAWI:

CAWI - Computer Aided Web Interviewing.
We can design your survey as an email survey.
The target persons receive the questionnaire by email and send it back completed by email, fax or post. We transfer the completed questionnaires to SPSS.
This type of data collection is therefore comparable to a postal survey, but is significantly more cost-effective due to the elimination of printing and postage costs.
Advantages of email surveys:

In the case of postal/written surveys, the questionnaire is sent by letter. We transfer the returned questionnaires to SPSS.
