Studying with a child
Studying with a child is a special challenge. Within the scope of its possibilities, the TU Chemnitz would like to make everyday study life easier for parents. The course of studies is usually less straightforward than for fellow students without children.
The Family Service office is the first point of contact for advice and planning the course of studies.

Re-entry scholarships
The Saxon State Ministry for Science and the Arts provides the TU Chemnitz with annual funding for re-entry scholarships. funds for re-entry scholarships. Funding is provided for the completion of doctorates and habilitations for researchers who are resuming their academic work after they have already after having interrupted their work at an advanced stage to take care of family responsibilities.

Furthermore, funding is provided for preparatory measures that enable female academics with a doctorate, to resume their academic work after a qualified professional activity outside of academia, to resume academic work in order to create the prerequisites for an appointment at a university.
