Campus with child

In Chemnitz, there are about 175 childcare facilities for children run by municipalities and independent organisations.

The Zwergencampus, the parent-child rooms of the Studentenwerk, offers parents the opportunity to use the rooms at Thüringer Weg 3 with their children all day or, if necessary, to make use of the emergency care.

Parent-Child Rooms "Zwergencampus"

The Zwergencampus is currently closed due to the current pandemic situation. Childcare is not available. We will inform you here as soon as the rooms of the Zwergencampus can be used flexibly again.

The Zwergencampus offers free childcare for students' children on three weekdays during the lecture period. This is a childcare service outside of the regular day care centre opening hours. During the examination period, flexible childcare is available by prior arrangement. You can notify the Studentenwerk of your requirements before the start of the semester or during the examination period.

The Zwergencampus also offers students and staff with children many opportunities outside of these childcare hours. Here you can meet, breastfeed in peace or do your homework. A spacious playroom, nappy-changing and breastfeeding facilities, a parents' room with a WLAN connection for the laptop, as well as a kitchen and a sanitary area provide good conditions for this.

The rooms at the side entrance of Thüringer Weg 3 can be accessed around the clock using a numerical code. The code is available to anyone who registers at the Student Union Info Point:
