Conference Subject
The focus of the symposium are micromechanics and microelectronics, and relations between the two areas. Priorities are:
- Component and system design
- Verification, test
- Technology development, manufacturing
- Characterization of MEMS
- Design of analog and digital circuits to be used in microsystems
- Application of microsystems
- Use of microsystems in medicine, rehabilitation and care, AAL
- New sensors, sensor networks
- Smart Materials
In addition to subject specific contributions, integrated contributions are also welcome.
Conference Objective
Microsystem technology, the name reflects on the program. Extreme miniaturized functions and shaped elements combined with different operating principles, materials, technologies, signal processing and controlling technologies have conquered the market with new sensors, actuators and intelligent systems. For more than 20 years there is a rapid evolution. Besides micromechanics and microelectronic, microfluids and micro-optics are very important segments. Meanwhile, the microsystem technology has conquered almost all areas of daily life.
The symposium "Chemnitzer Fachtagungen" exists since 1992 and this year, 2016, it will be its 13th occasion. The interest for the topic is still alive. The single-compartment organization of the meeting is well suited to obtain information about research results and new developments in microsystem technology. The Center for Microtechnologies (ZfM) of the Chemnitz University of Technology and the Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nano Systems (Fraunhofer ENAS) are involved in the meeting as centers of excellence.
Contributions
The presentation including a discussion may last not longer than 20 minutes. In addition to presentations posters are also welcome. There is the possibility of a short presentation of the posters in a special event (Poster Flash).
Please send an abstract of your contributions (One page written summary of the contribution, marked with "V" for presentations and "P" for posters) as a .pdf file to the organizing committee. Deadline for the submission is April, 24th 2016 .
Information about the acceptance of your contribution as well as additional instructions for the design of the long version are send to you not before June, 20th 2016.
Company Presentations
In parallel with the conference there will be a company presentation with respect to the priorities micromechanics and microelectronics. Interested parties please contact the organizing committee until July, 17th, 2016. In addition to the actual company presentation, exhibiting companies have the opportunity to present themselves in a special business session as part of the conference program.
