Welcome to the Chair of Automation Technology

Head of the chair is Prof. Dr. Peter Protzel.

Our research interests focus on intelligent autonomous systems and especially unmanned aerial systems in unstructured, cluttered indoor environments. We work on novel methods for robust and fault-tolerant simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), multipath mitigation in satellite-based localization and biologically inspired environmental perception. Further research interests include classical approaches to visual SLAM (mono and stereo), flight control of complex aerial systems, and kinematics and pathplanning for ground based robots.
