Scientific conference organised by:
ITG Working Group HF 5 “Wave Propagation”, ITG Fachausschuss HF 5 “Wellenausbreitung”
Call for Papers
The ITG Working Group HF 5 on Wave Propagation of the VDE (German Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies) is organising a scientific Conference on Wave Propagation and Scattering in Microwave Remote Sensing, Communications, and Navigation, to be held during 13th – 15th May, 2020, in the city of Chemnitz, Germany. Additionally, a one-day pre-conference tutorial workshop on Radars for early-stage researchers will be held on 12th May, 2020.
The scientific conference will address topics from wave propagation and scattering in microwave remote sensing, communications, navigation and other information systems. Key conference topics are listed below.
The conference programme will include a series of review and keynote presentations suited for both young scientists and experts alike. The one-day preconference tutorial workshop will cover fundamentals of modern multi-parameter remote sensing radars and their applications. The main idea behind the radar tutorial workshop is to address the knowledge needs of the early-stage professional in the field. The workshop presentations will thus be designed to meet the requirements of early-stage professionals with diverse backgrounds in engineering and sciences. The oneday radar tutorial workshop should also appeal to established engineers who would like to update their knowledge in the ever advancing field of radar systems and propagation of radar signals. Here you can find the flyer for this workshop.
The following topics from Remote Sensing, Communications, and Navigation will be considered.
1. Microwave Propagation in Communication and Microwave Systems
- Satellite Communication
- Multi-Path Propagation
- Indoor Propagation
- Propagation Effects in Remote Sensing
- Propagation in Metamaterials
- Ionospheric Propagation
- Propagation for Urban Communication
- Microwave Measurements in Propagation
2. Microwave Remote Sensing and Applications
- Microwave and Optical Radar Polarimetry
- Bi-static and Opportunity Radars
- Multi-Parameter Radar Interferometry
- Multi-Parameter Weather Radar/Lidar Systems
- Automotive and Airborne Radars
- Radar System Calibration
- Waveform and DBF Radar Methods
- Antenna Design and Measurements in Remote Sensing and Communications
The programme committee seeks contributions in above and related areas for presentation in English.
