Open POSTDOCTORAL and GRADUATE STUDENT Positions |
Molecular and organic materials are rapidly making a huge impact in the field of semiconductor science and technology. Most attention has been focused on light emitting applications where commercial products have already appeared. In addition these materials do have a major role to play in the control of electronic devices based on conventional inorganic semiconductor technology. The DIODE network brings together experienced academic research groups and industrial centers with a common aim to integrate inorganic and organic materials in improved practical devices, with a particular focus on high-frequency diodes for telecommunication applications.
Multi-disciplinary expertise is available in the DIODE network:
Optical and electrical probes TU Chemnitz (TUC) Band line-up theory, local structure Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM) Device fabrication and characterization TU Braunschweig (TUB) Structural probes Trinity College Dublin (TCD) Device simulation, theory of current transport Universita degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata" (Rome) Chemical and electronic state probes University of Wales Aberystwyth (UWA) Theory of molecular structure/adsorption Universität - GH Paderborn (UGHP)
We are looking for excellent experimental and theoretical researchers with a background in Physics or Physical Chemistry wishing to join our multi-disciplinary collaboration.
