Electrochemical synthesis and characterization of porphyrin-based electron-conducting materials
Electron-conducting polymers with incorporated/ trapped (immobilized inside the polymer matrix electrostatically or sterically) or "pendant" (by means of covalent or donor-acceptor bonds) porphyrin groups have become an object of intensive studies by numerous research groups during the last decades in view of their interesting properties opening the prospect of various applications. Another recent tendency in this area is the synthesis of various oligomers composed from porphyrin units. The presentation will made the accent on the latest developments in this area based on the synthesis of electroactive polymeric materials with porphyrin units by electrochemical means and their characterization.
