Job fair T-Fórum in Liberec/Czech Republic
On the 3rd and 4th of December, 18 students of TU Chemnitz went to Liberec, Czech Republic, to pursue their dream of an international career. On-site, we visited the job fair “T-forum”. Students had the chance to receive information about an international career entry and to network with company representatives. In preparation for the fair we performed a workshop “Fair Etiquette” at TU Liberec. While we had a typical Czech dinner, socializing did not come off badly. Thanks to our great tour group with students from different nationalities, our trip was an opportunity of inspirational and intercultural exchange. Thank you so much and we are looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Career Perspectives in Saxony and the Czech Republic
The Career Days organised by the Transnational Career Service took place last week 24 – 25 April 2013. Sixty Czech students followed the invitation to Chemnitz and informed themselves about career opportunities in Germany and the Czech Republic. Around forty students from Chemnitz University of Technology participated in the wide-ranging programme. After the greeting by Dr. Christian Genz, head of the Career Service at Chemnitz University of Technology, the students took part in two out of three workshops: International Business Etiquette, Working in Germany and Intercultural Training with a focus on Germany and the Czech Republic. In the evening the students socialised in the “Club der Kulturen” and enjoyed a varied programme ranging from an intercultural quiz and belly-dancing to karaoke later on in the evening. On the second day, the Career Slam took place at the NHG. Companies and institutions informed about entering the German and Czech job market and answered students’ question during the Career Brunch. Excursions to local companies were last on the agenda. Students could choose between the following companies: KOMSA AG, Continental AG and Karl Mayer Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH. After that our Czech participants headed back home.
