Business Intelligence Laboratory

Verkettungsverfahren zur Ablage multidimensionaler Daten Due to the plethora of data, information and performance indicators within an enterprise, the support of decision makers with adequate information is one of the core tasks in the area of business information systems. Technical components which solve these issues are summarized as Business Intelligence Systems. Business Intelligence summarizes all information systems that allow the analysis of data based on (mathematical) models and methods. The most basic prerequisite is a harmonized and enriched data pool which is accessed by data mining, online analytical processing (OLAP), and other technologies.

The Business Intelligence Laboratory enables our chair to support research and teaching with up-to-date BI solutions. Therefore, it raises our competitive abilites.

Currently, we offer (among others) the following BI software:

SAP BI, IBM DB2 Data Warehouse Enterprise Edition, Oracle Developer Suite, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Database, SPSS Clementine 10.1, SPSS Clementine Application Templates as well as different OpenSource products.
