• 6:00 pm: delayed departure to the USA
• 10:00 pm: arrival in Atlanta – spending a night on an airport

• 1:00 pm: CUT arrival in El Paso (from Atlanta)
• 6:00 pm: Group BBQ at Dr. Sowards and Dr. Pineda’s house
• Welcome by Dr. Frank G. Pérez, Chair of the Department of Communication

• 9:30 am – 10:30 am: Campus tour by Frank Pérez, meet at Cotton Memorial lobby
• 11:00am – 12:00 am: Tour at KTEP radio
• 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm: Discussion with Dr. Sarah Ryan about research in Rwanda
• 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm: Picnic in the Mountains with view over El Paso at night

• 9:00 am – 10:30 am: Discussion with Dr. Stacey Sowards, “What is Environmental Communication?”
• 10:30 – 11:30 am: Discussion with Dr. Stacey Sowards about Conference on Communication and the Environment: How to Prepare for the Conference?
• 3:00pm – 4:00 pm New Mexico State University – Meeting with Prof. Chuck Kozel and Prof. Anne Hubbell
• Afternoon: Field trip to Old Mesilla in New Mexico including a dinner at a Mexican restaurant and a visit at the Rio Grande

• 9:00 am – 10:30 am: Discussion with Dr. William L. Hargrove, Dr. Ralph Martinez, Dr. Thomas A. Davis and Dr. Lucy Mar Camacho, Center for Environmental Resource Management
• 11.00 am - 12.00 pm: Interview recording at the UTEP radio station with Louie Saenz,
• 03.00 pm – 04.30 pm: Daniel Chacon and Sasha Pimentel Chacon give a reading of their short stories and poems
• Afternoon: Preparations for research presentations at the Conference on Communication and the Environment
• Evening: Visiting the Hoppy Monk with Frank G. Perez, Daniel and Sasha Pimentel Chacon

• 10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Lecture by Dr. Frank G. Pérez, “Hegemony and Civic Discourse – the debate on Juan de Onate”, Department of Communication
• Afternoon: Visit Wet n’ Wild
• Evening Wits University participants arrive in El Paso
