Interdisciplinary Center for Advanced Driver Assistant Systems |
|
Driver Assistant Systems are constantly gaining relevance for safety and comfort on the road. Their development highly challenges interdisciplinary developing teams of engineers, ergonomists, and psychologists. For this reason, the professorships of Communications Engineering (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerd Wanielik), Human Factors and Ergonomics (Prof. Dr. phil. habil. Dr.-Ing. Birgit Spanner-Ulmer), and Cognitive and Engineering Psychology (Prof. Dr. phil. Josef F. Krems) have allied in order to form the Interdisciplinary Center for Advanced Driver Assistant Systems (I-FAS) at the Chemnitz University of Technology. The center emerging this way is able to research the different fundamental areas of this very complex theme in a networked way.
