Single Crystal X-ray Structure Analysis |
The lecture will demonstrate step-by-step, on an easy to follow example, all individual procedures to obtain 3D structural information out of single crystals as: the selection of suitable single crystals, unit cell determination, data measurement, data integration and structural solution and refinement. The obtained molecular and crystal structure will be discussed by considering the (crystallographically imposed) molecular symmetry and possible intermolecular interactions
