Study abroad at the English department
At TU Chemnitz's department of English and American studies, we value the idea of international exchange very highly.
Every semester we welcome a large number of international students from universities in a wide range of countries, and we cherish the vibrant international atmosphere this creates at our department. All our regular BA students spend a semester abroad as part of their study program (the Auslandssemester. Our students can participate in an exchange within the framework of ERASMUS+ or with other international universities (eg in Asia), or they can do an internship in an English-speaking country. Students with limited mobility (eg for health or family reasons) can apply for an alternative option (the international semester) with the department's examination board.
