The English Practical Language Programme has been designed to help Bachelor, Master, Magister and ERASMUS students enrolled in British and American Studies at TUC enhance their English language proficiency.
The programme
- trains foreign language competence with regard to the Four Skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and the areas grammar, vocabulary and phonetics.
- provides students with practice and experience in using English for academic and job-related purposes such as giving presentations, writing term papers or excelling at job interviews.
- emphasizes the idea that speaker/writer and listener/reader are responsible for the successful transmission of the message
- develops an awareness of appropriate style and register, including the command of a variety of lexical and structural choices
