Chemnitz Seminar on Optimal Control (Skiing Seminar) 2009

It is the goal of the seminar to allow the participants to discuss freely their current research interests related to optimal control and numerical mathematics. There will also be possibilities to go or to learn skiing, snowboarding, and cross country skiing.

Skiing Area

The boarding house is located in the skiing area Zillertalarena which has 165 kilometers of slopes. The ski bus stops directly in front of the house. Alternatively, one can drive up to the cableway station in Rohrberg (5 km). The snow conditions can be found here.

Cross country skiing is possible in Zell (given a sufficient amount of snow) or in Gerlos (about 20km away).

Expenses

The boarding house will charge 273 Euros per person (39 Euros per day), which includes half-board (breakfast and dinner). We will have 9 double rooms. An optional ski pass (6 days) for the Zillertalarena is 186 Euros (day pass 38 Euros).
