Through extensive support schemes, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Saxon Ministry of Science and the Arts (SMWK) and further organisations and foundations promote collaborations between German and foreign scientists.
The International Office advises scientists interested in international collaborations about a wide range of support opportunities and helps with application procedures, implementation and financial matters.
Via a database both German and foreign university members have the opportunity to obtain information about those support schemes by the DAAD which match their respective academic qualifications, their home country as well as their subject of study. The International Office offers relevant information materials.
The LLP/ERASMUS-Programme of the European Union (EU) promotes teaching staff mobility between international partner universities.
For detailed information about further EU-programmes as well as support schemes offered by other organisations and foundations (e.g. the
German Research Foundation (DFG), or the
Alexander von Humboldt Foundation) please contact CUT's
Academic Services Department (in German).
