A Hub-and-Spoke network describes a logistic system composed of a central warehouse (Hub) and starlike
arranged external branches (Spokes). Customers create demand at the individual spokes, which manage their
stock independently and place orders at the hub on their part if neccessary. These orders are delivered
by transport units.
