If you consider choosing Software Engineering as specialisation, please start by reading our web pages concerning our projects and courses.
Basically, we qualify students by integrating them to one of our current projects. You should know, which project you want to take part in. Being student at our chair, you will have access to all documentation (e. g. existing seminar papers, student research papers, diploma theses, source and LaTeX codes) you require. You will write a seminar and student research paper as well as your diploma thesis dealing with your project. Furthermore, you are expected to attend these courses: Software Engineering I and II, Information Retrieval Systems, Information Systems and a number of other courses recommended by Prof. Kroha, e. g. Parallel Computing, Artifical Intelligence. Moreover, you should take part in the CASE practical. Thus, you will improve your knowledge about Software Engineering.
Assuming you have the required skills and the financial ressources are provided
, you could be working as a student assistant.
