Project "working customers - consumers@work"

The aim of the research project which is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft (German Research Association, DFG) is to investigate the new internet-mediated modes of consumer integration in internal business processes.

This includes the consumers’ participation in product development and design, idea finding, rating, quality assurance, internet me-diated self-services and execution of incentivized tasks. We want to examine why firms make use of consumer integration, how they put it to practice and what the consequences resulting from the implementation of these strategies are. Moreover, we will ask the consumers what motivated them to participate. In order to fully assess these points the companies and the consumers will be analysed.
