Who are we?

Since you’re matriculated you are part of the student body of the faculty of mechanical engineering. We are the board of students and just like you students at this faculty.


How do we work?

As an organ of the student body we’re a part of student self-administration. Our tasks are based on the Higher Education Act of the State of Saxony. It contains safeguarding of student interests, organization of leisure activities and supporting studies. Our work is supported with 1 € of each student’s semester contribution.


What do we do?

  • organization of welcome events (orientation week, fresher-professor-evening), information events during the studies (orientation BBQ, internship-evening), cultural programme (Christmas party, summer party, hump day) and excursions
  • delegation of representatives to other intramural panels (student organisation, study commission, examination board, ...)
  • provision of old exams, study material, internship data base on our homepage
  • promotion of student projects
  • offering a helping hand at any problem of studying (timetable, exams, classes, ...)
