Congratulation for the IM German Chapter!
It was elected by the IEEE IM Society as the outstanding Chapter 2006!
"IEEE Society Chapters - The local branch of your Society"
The IM Chapter was founded recently (16.7.2004) and held its first meeting on December 3, 2004 in Munich at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich.

The primary motivation for the founding of this chapters are:
  • to improve contact between specialists on the fields of sensor technology and instrumentation in Germany
  • to bring a novel panel for technical discussions into being
  • to initiate local and international professional activities
  • to contribute to the improvement of the IEEE local network
  • to support instrumentation and sensor technology in Germany and international

IEEE Chapters are locally active units of an IEEE Section, in this case the Germany Section. They belong thematically to an IEEE Society, in this case the Instrumentation and Measurement Society.
All Members of the IM Society in Germany (at present approx. 120 persons) are member of the IM Chapter. New members and interested colleagues are welcome to join us!
