The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration has an intensive widespread network of local, national and international contacts and achieves notably good places in research rankings. Theoretical and practical training are featured in the university s economic and interdisciplinary degree programmes. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration combines macroeconomics and business administration with law and information technology under one roof, and the numerous contacts of professors to regional, national and foreign companies enrich the degree programme with a practical component.

The Faculty offers a variety of interrelated bachelor s and master s degree programmes. Transfer from other courses to the master s programmes is also possible. A special feature of business and economic training in Chemnitz lies in the integration of business studies and economics in the bachelor s degree programme.

In addition to a broad-spectrum general degree course, the faculty offers a variety of seminars on specific topics, enabling students to specialise in subjects relevant to their future careers. Competences in typical economic and business practices are complemented by social competences and foreign language skills. The university also offers multidisciplinary bachelor s degree programmes which integrate studies in engineering or humanities into the framework of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, either as major or minor subjects.
