The Laboratory is part of the Inorganic Chemistry Lab managed by Prof. Dr. Heinrich Lang and equipped with an Oxford Diffraction "Gemini S". The instrument is equipped with a low temperature device which allows data collection temperatures down to approximately 110 K.

The Laboratory is a service facility, able to determine the three dimensional structure of molecules from single crystals. Access is given not only to members of the TU Chemnitz but also to members of other Universities and Companies.
